The Australian Minister for the Arts announced that Mic is the recipient of one of eleven newly initiated Creative Australian Fellowships.
This is fantastic news and acknowledgement at the highest level of the outstanding stature of his work and his contribution to cultural endeavours in Australia and beyond.

2011

Tim worked with NZ film director Vincent Ward to produce the multimedia component of his exhibition Breath - The Fleeting Intensity of Life, Govett-Brewster Art Gallery, New Plymouth, Dec 2011 to Feb 2012.

Tim has a show "Appearance Tells Heart" with Shanghai artist Jin JIangbo at 4-Face Space Gallery 798 in Beijing through the month of October

Tim facilitated "The Synaesthorium" workshop for SEAM 2011 in Sept.

Tim had updated versions of "Vigilans In Omnem Vitam" (forever watchful) & "Sentire Victum" (percieving the manner of life) - outdoor installations in the TSB Bank Festival of the Lights, New Plymouth, New Zealand, 19th of Dec 2010 to 30th of Jan 2011 and again for WOMAD, march 2011.

"My Bicycle Loves You" opened Jan 13th for Sydney Festival. Legs on The Wall new show with long time friend and collaborator Patrick Nolan who now directs that company full time. The Perth Festival in February

THE 80s ARE BACK exhibition at the Powerhouse Museum in Sydney featured some of our work from the RAT parties in the eighties. The Powerhouse show on Fashion Week was built around all the video we produced and directed for the first seven years of Australian Fashion Week.

 

2010

Tim's work Shanghai: Metaview 2010 was part of the exhibition 'Invisible City' at South Shanghai Metro Station, 3rd to 30th September. 8 invited artsits respnding to the theme of EXPO through a residency at Shanghai University FIne Arts Dept.

Mic restaged Wrong Skin in Darwin and Sydney

Tim worked with the team from CreativeStar in Shanghai to produce a massive scale interactive installation for the Shanghai EXPO authority based around Haibao the EXPO mascot. till the end of October

Mic has an instalation Damned Souls for the 2010 Sydney Bienalle in collaboration with Folklorist Warren Fahey on Cockatoo Island dealing with the history of the island through song.

Tim spoke on a panel about post-object art at the Momentum-Sydney conference.

Tim's work CLOUT - Fine Fragments from 1986 was in a show 'Melbourne><Brisbane punk, art and after' at the Ian Potter Museum in Melbourne, Feb 24th to May16th.

Mic designed 'Wrong Skin' written and directed by Nigel Jamieson featuring the 'Chooky Boys' dance group.
After four weeks rehearsing at Bundanon the Arthur Boyd Reserve the show opened in Adelaide on March 11 before touring Melbourne, Sydney and Darwin.

Working with 3D animator Al Ferguson Tim makes 'Monica's Gift' to celebrate Govett-Brewster Galleries fortieth birthday.

Tim was a commisioned artist for the 2nd Asian Art Biennial in Taiwan, October to March 2010 - Clesthyra's Undoing.

Tim performed in 'Holiwater' at the Prana Festival, New Zealand

Mic completed a two week creative development workshop with Legs on the Wall directed by Patrick Nolan in January. The 'Corrick Project' is in collaboration with the National Film and Sound Archive and in development for the Perth and Sydney Festivals 2011

2009

Tim's work CLOUT-Fine Fragments from 1986 was in a show Queensland Art 2009 at Pestorius Sweeney House in Brisbane

Brett Sheehey commisioned Tim for the Melbourne Festival of the Arts to design and perform on stage with the Melb Symphony Orchestra the vision for the world premier of 'Tyranny of Distance' Brenton Broadstocks new Symphony.

Tim performed in 'Holiwater' at Govett-Brewster Gallery New Plymouth, New Zealand

Mic designed visuals for Jim Sharman's new production of 'Cosi fan Tutti' for Opera Australia.

AIDA, at the Sydney Opera House in July through to September.

Mic was media systems manager and programmer for Nigel Jamison's new production of 'Fancuilla del West' for Opera Conference opening in Adelaide in August.

Tim worked with composer Damian Barbeler on his new work 'Laid in Earth' which premiered for the Queensland Music Festival in Cooktown in August.

Mic has designed another opera at the Sydney Opera House with Patrick Nolan directing, 'ACIS & GALETEA' a Handel masque utilising 2 live High Definition cameras on stage and new HD media server technology to deliver a complex mix of live and prepared content.

in February Mic produced a visual design for the Perth Iinternational Arts Festival production of 'The Flowering Tree' by John Adams. Working with Director and long time collaborator Patrick Nolan, Mic produced a fusion of live cameras mixed with super high quality (Red One Camera) prepared footage.

"interzone: Media arts in Australia" by Darren Tofts / book launch.

Mic directed and produced a video which was hand delivered to the pope in Rome as part of Sydney's successful bid for Catholic World Youth Day 2008.

ACMI (Australian Centre for Moving Image) Melbourne aquired "Synthing" June 2003.

ABAF Awards : Sydney. 1 hour live video commision with Tesseract Reserch Laboratory. 25 x 4M panoramic projection. Hats off to TRL.

Museum of Sydney has commisioned their new videowall. Tim technically designed and produced the replacement 3 story videowall. 33 cubes becomes 4 rear projections, state of the art screens, new content and a whole fresh methodology. Looking very good! Thanks to Kate and the crew.

Museum of Sydney . Mic re-edited and format transposed the "First Government House" and "Eora" exhibits.
